The Central Rivers Farmshed
is a network of
people, businesses, organizations, and productive lands that
create a local food economy. They are a growing movement
in Central Wisconsin to build and strengthen relationships
between local farms, restaurants, retailers, and consumers.
Farm Fresh Atlas
Farm Fresh Atlas is a collaborative effort by the Central Rivers Farmshed, the UWSP’s
School of Health Promotion and Human Development, and area farmers to produce a map of Central
Wisconsin Farms and Producers. Available area wide.

Operation Bootstrap provides individuals and families
in need with items such as food, clothing, shelter, medical
and dental assistance, house wares and more when their emergency
needs cannot be met by another source. Crisis Assistance
accepts referrals through intake at Portage County Health and
Human Services, CAP Services, Red Cross, local churches, and
schools. Office
hours are Monday through Friday 10:00am to 4:00pm. Contact
Portage County Health and Human Services Department for more
information. There are no income eligibility guidelines.
